Another X-Flare (New AR 13186) | January 10, 2023

Newly numbered Active Region 13186 turning into view off the northeast limb just produced an impulsive X1 Class Solar Flare at 22:47 UTC (Jan 10). Unlike the other two X-Flares, this eruption may have hurled some plasma in the form of a coronal mass ejection (CME) into space. The likely mass will be directed well away from our planet and will not have any earth-directed component.
