Active Region 13697 continues its flare barrage. The latest was an impulsive X1.0 solar flare at 18:36 June 1st.. This was quickly followed by a long duration M7.4 event at 19:40. The M7.4 flare produced a halo coronal mass ejection (CME) that appears to be Earth directed. This CME could produce a weak geomagnetic storm within 48-72 hours.
