Major X3.3 Solar Flare | Oct 24, 2024

New Active Region 13869 just unleashed a strong X3.3 Solar Flare at 03:57 UTC October 24. A type II radio emission with a velocity of 610 km/s was reported. This event will have an associated coronal mass ejection (CME) as it is a long duration event. The blast location is located to the eastern limb therefore the Coronal Mass will not have an earth directed component.
