Active Region 13354 just unleashed an X1-Class Solar Flare at 23:14 UTC July 2nd. It appears no large coronal mass ejection (CME) has been released off the solar surface, however this may change in the coming hours with further solar telemetry. The large active region continues to move closer towards the northwest limb and may produce another large flare before rotating off the western limb. Associated with this event w
as a strong (R3) radio blackout which occurred during the flare peak point.
