Departing region 13738 unleashed a strong X1.9 solar flare at 13:26 UTC. Active Region 13738 turning the western limb may have another large flare in the tank in the next 24 hours before fully turning the solar disk. A coronal mass ejection (CME) is now visible and is directed well away from the Earth. Associated with this event was a type 2 radio emission with an estimated velocity of 516 km/s.
