Major Magnitude 7.4 Earthquakes Strikes Drake Passage | May 2nd, 2025

A major earthquake struck just south of Argentina in the Drake Passage, The main-shock reached a strong Magnitude 7.4 followed minutes later by another quake registered to M7.1 by the EMSC (European Earthquake reporting agency), both quakes were registered to be at 10km Depth. No tsunami has been reported from these events. USGS only reports just one event and at the time of this article two shakes are definitely shown in the data however the second report maybe the secondary wave of the first giving a double reading and most likely the second report will be removed shortly by all agencies.

Main driver for this event is the Uranus ‘Trine’ linking into the South Node and the Venus and Neptune at Conjunction. (just 7 minutes separation)
Neptune-South Node and Saturn all having a direct resonance very near earthquake epicenter, located in the Scotia Sea. Video report will be made for website members and subscribers. This location was forecast to have an earthquake in the SolarWatcher May Global Earthquake Newsletter.
