A destructive earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter Scale jolted Northeast India on Wednesday morning. The earthquake originated in Tezpur of Assam and tremors were felt across Assam, North Bengal and other parts of the Northeast. Six aftershocks were recorded in the hours after the first quake shook up the region.
