A Major X2.1 Solar Flare was just unleashed from departing Active Region 13234 at 17:52 UTC. Associated with this blast was a R3 level radio blackout. A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) is seen exiting the solar corona from the X2.1 solar flare. As the Active Region was on the western limb there will be no earth-directed component of this CME and no glancing blow expected.
